In addition to commercial loans available through local banks, there are a number of loan programs in Missouri that support special needs. Click on individual program descriptions below or check out the summary of Missouri loan programs.

Missouri Savings Fund

Missourians Building Assets, a program of Missouri’s Community Action Network, encourages families to establish good savings habits, gain stability and break the cycle of poverty. The program helps qualified working individuals set up savings accounts to reach specific goals: purchasing a home, enrolling in advanced education, or starting a business.  


Advantage Capital Partners

Advantage Capital Partners strives to invest in small businesses and grow local economies. Through a combination of public-private partnerships, Advantage Capital provides access to flexible capital to facilitate growth for businesses.

Boonslick Regional Planning Commission

Boonslick Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) is a voluntary association of local governments serving Lincoln, Montgomery and Warren counties in east-central Missouri.

City of Aurora

The City of Aurora works to promote economic development opportunities.

City of Springfield Economic Development Office

The Springfield Economic Development Office works in partnership with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Springfield Business Development Corporation, City Utilities of Springfield, and Greene County to facilitate and promote business development within the City of Springfield, as well as throughout the Springfield region. The Office provides development assistance and incentives, and serves as a facilitator for major economic development projects to ensure timely approval of plans and permits.

Clay County Economic Development Council

The Clay County Economic Development Council works to attract, expand, and retain business in Clay County, MO., and to promote a positive economic development climate.

Economic Development Center of Jefferson County

Provides financial and other assistance to companies located in and interested in locating in Jefferson County.

EDC Loan Corporation of Kansas City

EDC Loan Corporation is the finance arm of The Kansas City Economic Development Corporation. Entrepreneurial resources include low-cost, long-term financing, primarily using the SBA 504 Loan program. EDC offers similar long-term asset financing programs through various revolving loan funds. All loan funds available at the EDC Loan Corporation are used in acquiring real estate and fixed assets.

The Gladstone Department of Economic Development department is dedicated to improving the economic welfare of Gladstone, Mo.

Grace Hill Women's Business Center

Helps women start a new business or expand an existing business.

Grandview Chamber & Economic Development Council

The Grandview Chamber exists to serve, protect and promote area business.

Green Hills Regional Planning Commission

The Green Hills Regional Planning Commission is a regional organization providing economic development services in an 11-county area in North Central Missouri.

Helix Center Biotech Incubator

Helix Center Biotech Incubator located near the Danforth Plant Science Center offers 33,000-square-feet of office incubator space, wet and dry labs for early-stage plant and life sciences and bio technology companies.

Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative

Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative delivers cost efficient, reliable energy with value-added service to its member-owners and offers economic development support services in a 6-county area.

International Institute of St. Louis - Small Business

Provides a wide variety of services to linguistically and culturally disadvantaged business owners.

Johnson County Economic Development Corporation (JCEDC)

Johnson County Economic Development Corporation (JCEDC) provides confidential one-on-one business assistance, microloan funds, financing options and incentives, for new and existing businesses - small to large - for all Johnson County, Missouri.

Justine PETERSEN Microloan Program, Kansas City Office

Justine PETERSEN, with other local partners, offers microloans to startup and existing small businesses. Microloans are offered to those unable to access capital from traditional sources.

Justine Petersen, St. Louis Office

Originates micro-enterprise loans through its U.S. Small Business Administration Micro-Loan Intermediary Program.

Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission

Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission serves as an economic development district for Bates, Benton, Cedar, Henry, Hickory, St. Clair, and Vernon Counties.

Midwest Small Business Finance

Midwest Small Business Finance provides small businesses with economic development and financial assistance.

Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority - Northern Missouri

The Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority helps new and expanding agricultural producers finance their operations and add value to their products.

The Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority helps new and expanding agricultural producers finance their operations and add value to their products.

Missouri Department of Agriculture

The Missouri Department of Agriculture sets agriculture policy and provides assistance to farmers throughout the state, focusing on food related business.

Missouri Department of Economic Development, Grow Missouri Fund

The Grow Missouri Loan is a revolving loan fund designed to provide attractive loans, in cooperation with private financial institutions, to ensure borrowers have sufficient capital for job-creating business expansion.

Missouri Linked Deposit Program
