What is the Chamber? Connections. Founded in 1947, the Chamber connects businesses & community with support & resources to develop, sustain, & grow.
Who are members? Our members include Businesses, Non-profits, Civic Groups, & Individuals with an interest in Savannah and Andrew County, Missouri. Many members maintain a membership because of their residence or other ties to our community.
Why should I join? Join to be a part of something important. Chamber Members are part of the big picture, helping to sustain Savannah and Andrew County’s development for many generations to come.
Be In the Know. We strive to keep our members & the public informed on what’s happening in the community. We publish and promote community events and updates via our Monthly Newsletter, E-mails, social media, & the digital sign. We also regularly promote Savannah and our members with press releases sent to regional media.
EXPAND YOUR NETWORK
Make More Contacts. Meet new people & strengthen existing relationships at our Monthly Meetings, Annual Banquet, Golf Tournament, Ribbon Cuttings, After Hours & Social Events.
Gain Visibility & Promote Your Business. Looking for an inexpensive way to reach a large, local audience? We include advertising & announcements from members in e-mails to our membership. The Chamber is always referring & promoting members: phone inquiries, website, social media, digital sign, and Visitor’s Guide & Chamber Directory. Members also gain exposure via Ribbon Cuttings, Open Houses, Sponsorship Opportunities and more. Have a story to tell? Let us know and we will help!
HAVE A VOICE
Legislative Connections. The Chamber is a voice for business at City Hall, the State Capitol or wherever we are needed to support business, community and quality of life. We also offer opportunities to access officials locally including legislative update events.
Accept the Local Currency. Chamber Bucks are gift checks redeemable only with participating members of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce. The Savannah R-III School District invests $40,000 annually into the local economy via Chamber Bucks. Bucks are also sold throughout the year for gifts and employee rewards.
ENHANCE YOUR CREDIBILITY
Be Known as a Pillar of the Community. Consumers are 49% more likely to think favorably of and 80% more likely to purchase from members of the Chamber of Commerce. Two-thirds of consumers believe that such companies use good business practices, are reputable, care about their customers, and are involved in the community. -Study conducted by The Schapiro Group.
