EDC Loan Corporation of Kansas City

EDC Loan Corporation is the finance arm of The Kansas City Economic Development Corporation. Entrepreneurial resources include low-cost, long-term financing, primarily using the SBA 504 Loan program. EDC offers similar long-term asset financing programs through various revolving loan funds. All loan funds available at the EDC Loan Corporation are used in acquiring real estate and fixed assets.


EDC Loan Corporation is the finance arm of the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Mo. The EDC Loan Corporation provides assistance for businesses. Their loan programs include;

  • SBA 504 Loan Program
  • EDC Revolving Loan Fund
  • Brownfield's Cleanup Revolving Loan Fund
  • River Market Loan Fund
  • Neighborhood Commercial Revolving Loan Fund

The SBA 504 Loan Program is the primary tool used to obtain loans for small business owners.

  • Provides long-term financing at a fixed rate with a low down payment, typically 10%.
  • Provides financing assistance for projects ranging $125,000 to $10 million dollars.
  • Can be used for purchase of long-term fixed assets with a useful life of at least 10 years. This includes land acquisition, construction, purchase and/or remodeling of an existing building, and purchase of machinery and equipment.
