The Brookfield Area Growth Partnership - a public private non-profit community/economic development organization, dedicated to change. Change is always difficult and the area’s traditional rural culture makes change even more challenging. However, spearheaded by this pioneering organization, the community is now directing its economic and community development energies to entrepreneurship and building up its economy from within. We consider the creation of the Brookfield Area Growth Partnership to be the catalyst for the positive changes that our community has since experienced and we offer the work of this organization (heretofore referred to as BAGP). The BAGP, a collaborative team of Brookfield community stakeholders, is represented on its board of directors by The City of Brookfield, Brookfield Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, Pershing Health Systems, Brookfield RIII School District and MU Extension along with representatives from local lending institutions, businesses, civic organizations and youth. The overarching mission of this organization is to create a higher quality of life, stronger business environment and greater economic opportunity in the Brookfield area by merging the efforts and resources of the major community/economic development partners together into a seamless network.
