Council of governments is a political subdivision of Missouri offering technical assistance to businesses, communities, special districts and counties in an eight county region in Northeast Missouri.

In addition to other services, the COG offers low interest financing to new and expanding businesses through a revolving loan fund provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce – Economic Development Administration. The purpose of the loan program is to encourage new job creation and entrepreneurial growth for at-risk businesses.
