About
The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit network of business and professional organizations dedicated to improving the region’s economic climate. The Chamber serves as the principle advocate for business in partnership with the community, supports and assists existing businesses and acts as the primary catalyst in promoting the economic health of the Springfield, Missouri area, stimulating jobs and improving the quality of life.
Nearly 2,200 members strong, the Chamber represents both large and small businesses. Businesses with 25 or fewer employees represent nearly 80 percent of its membership. A board of directors representing members businesses directs the work of the Chamber, supported by a full time professional staff. In addition to a range of networking and training events, the Chamber provides legislative advocacy support, assistance with import and export certification and area census data.
