About
The Missouri Job Center in Poplar Bluff helps businesses recruit and retain a stable, skilled workforce. The Job Center is part of the Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Division of Workforce Development. Staff functions as an extension of the company’s human resource department, offering assistance with job descriptions, interviewing and training. The Missouri Job Center has access to a wide range of job applicants through its programs designed to help displaced, unemployed and underemployed workers. The office in Poplar Bluff also offers conference room facilities for conducting interviews.
Businesses may be eligible for a grant through the Skill Up program to help purchase equipment, tools, etc. that are needed in order to work/run your businesses. Contact your local job center to get more information about how to access funding available through WIOA (workforce innovation opportunity act) and Skill Up program for use towards startup or operational business costs (pg. 4).
