The Missouri Job Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, part of the Department of Higher Ed/Workforce Development, helps businesses recruit and retain a stable, skilled workforce as well as helping individuals find meaningful, long-term employment.

Missouri’s Workforce System is comprised of the Department of Higher Ed/Workforce Development, state and local workforce boards and numerous partner agencies who promote business recruitment, expansion and retention.

Businesses may be eligible for a grant through the Skill Up program to help purchase equipment, tools, etc. that are needed in order to work/run your businesses. Contact your local job center to get more information about how to access funding available through WIOA (workforce innovation opportunity act) and Skill Up program for use towards startup or operational business costs (pg. 4).
