About
The Springfield, Missouri, Economic Vitality Office works in partnership with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Springfield Business Development Corporation, City Utilities of Springfield, and Greene County to facilitate and promote business development within the city of Springfield, as well as throughout the Springfield region.
The office provides development assistance and incentives and serves as a facilitator for major economic development projects to ensure timely approval of plans and permits.
Micro Enterprise Loans
The purpose of the Micro-enterprise Loan Program/Business Incentive Loan Program is to facilitate economic development through the establishment, stabilization and expansion of micro-enterprises and small businesses.
Eligible activities:
- Equipment
- Furniture and fixtures
- Infill improvements
- Other startup costs
- Merchandise inventory
- Working capital
Micro-enterprise loans are limited to retail businesses with five or fewer employees at the time of the loan application.
Business incentive loans are available for businesses with more than five employees.
