The Jordan Valley Innovation Center is a 75,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility to conduct cutting-edge research and development within a collaborative environment. The seven-story facility is comprised of built-out tenant lab space, shared space and staff and facilities in the Center for Applied Science and Engineering (CASE) and the Center for Biomedical and Life Sciences (CBLS).  CASE and CBLS focus on assisting companies with developing new technologies and accelerating new product development. JVIC is owned and operated by Missouri State University, and CASE and CBLS are university research centers established to collaborate with the private sector to advance and accelerate new technologies.

JVIC is a unique university-private sector research, development and commercialization model that focuses on product development, research and educational opportunities. JVIC focuses on collaboration with private companies on new technologies and accelerating products to viable markets. 

Our shared resource environment allows the University to provide state of the art facilities and equipment that is affordable to corporate clients. JVIC has extensive experience in biomaterials, nanotechnology, carbon-based electronics, biomedical instrument development, advanced manufacturing and prototyping and translational research. Clients have access to about 20 scientists and technicians.

One of the priorities that set JVIC apart from other universities is our policy on intellectual property.  Missouri State University forgoes ownership of IP in exchange for JVIC’s role in products brought to market. It allows a company to own the IP and avoid the expenses and challenges of licensing technology during the research process.
