Cape Girardeau Area MAGNET is a not-for-profit economic development organization, which works with expanding and relocating companies to assist their site selection process, serving the Missouri communities of Cape Girardeau, Jackson and Scott City as well as rural areas of Cape Girardeau County.

Cape Girardeau Area MAGNET prepares confidential and comprehensive project proposals based on your project criteria. We coordinate community visits and property tours for site selection teams. MAGNET provides information on labor force availability, taxes, energy costs, financing and job training programs. Additional business services provided by MAGNET include information about  financial assistance programs, permitting requirements, employee hiring services and enterprise zone benefits.

A complete range of transportation services is available in the Cape Girardeau area. The Interstate 55 highway system, the Southeast Missouri Port, the Southeast Missouri Regional Airport and daily rail service combine to provide a complete intermodal transportation network.
