Ignite Entrepreneurial Program

Ignite is a partnership between Hannibal Regional Economic Development Council, the Small Business Development Center and the Chamber of Commerce dedicated to creating an ecosystem that attracts, creates, supports, and accelerates new and existing businesses in Northeast Missouri.

Our mission is to develop an entrepreneurial ecosystem that supports new and existing businesses in the Hannibal, Missouri, region by providing expert technical assistance, establishing entrepreneurial support networks and connecting entrepreneurs with investors. Ignite seeks to create an ecosystem that attracts, creates, supports and accelerates new and existing businesses in the Hannibal region.

Three pillars: 1) Entrepreneurship Support Networks: Our entrepreneurship support network includes a mentorship effort, where experienced businesspeople who understand entrepreneurship can share their experience and expertise with new entrepreneurs.

2) Expert Technical Assistance: Starting or growing a business can be complicated. To help our entrepreneurs, Ignite provides expert advice from the Small Business Development Center on important topics like creating a business plan, testing business models, creating financial projections and developing leadership and management skills to thrive as a business leader.

3) Investment Pitch Opportunities: Through our investor events, Ignite connects great ideas with the fuel they need to thrive. These events connect high-performing entrepreneurs with a platform to present their ideas to investors. Our investor events act as networking events for entrepreneurs from all across Northeast Missouri. These events are designed to help generate public excitement for the innovative ideas being presented. The Ignite Program is available to all citizens of the following Missouri counties: Clark, Lewis, Marion, Monroe, Ralls, Pike and Shelby.
