Square 1 is a Business Incubator – a place where entrepreneurs and new or startup companies can meet, network, and collaborate among like – minded people. Square 1 is located on the lower level of the Economic Development Alliance building at 315 S. Franklin St. in Kirksville.

The Kirksville Business Incubator (SQUARE 1) is  is part of the Missouri Rural Enterprise and Innovation Center (MREIC)

The Missouri Rural Enterprise and Innovation Center (MREIC) seeks to provide a shared, community-driven workspace for entrepreneurs to create their businesses, small business owners to work “on” vs “in” their businesses, and location-independent professionals to thrive in an environment that encourages connections and mutual support. All members must be 18 years of age or older.

Collaboration: One of the great benefits of working in a co-working space is that you will meet all sorts of people with all sorts of knowledge and where possible collaborate to support each other’s activities. Square 1 exists because of you and for you. As a member, you will not just be a customer of Square 1; you’ll be an active part of what Square 1 is and does for you and for others.
