How to Make a Big Ask of Leadership

April 10 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am CDT

$75

You know what your workplace needs to improve. However, making the “big ask” of leadership is holding you back. Learn how you can prepare and deliver a persuasive proposal to leadership.

For example, you may want to recommend more headcount, request new technology to streamline work, or advocate for another change that can enhance productivity and improve workplace operations.

In this hands-on session led by Shannon Swift, you will learn a process that helps you design your talking points for making the “big ask” of leadership. Retired Chief Human Resource Officer Ed Schloesslin will discuss a corporate leader’s typical challenges, objections, and concerns. Understanding these factors will help you better understand your leadership audience.

Event is eligible for two (2) SHRM credits.

Outcomes
You will design talking points to be influential and effective. Preferably, you will have a specific “big ask” identified to develop during this session.

Craft creative responses to each objection
Arrange responses into a cohesive strategy for presenting
