How to Start and Manage a Nonprofit Organization

Interested in starting your own nonprofit organization? Join this workshop to learn the basic steps to open a 501c3 and the basics of fundraising including the nature of nonprofits, prospect research and management, annual giving strategies, donor cultivation and stewardship, budgeting and goal setting, special events, and more. This session will be taught through a community-centric fundraising lens, and the presenters will use real world experiences and best practices to guide the workshop.

Presenters's Bio:

Amie Bossi has worked in the nonprofit sector for over a decade and a half, working with numerous local, regional, and national organizations. She spent most of her time working in small to mid-sized development departments, even building from scratch an entire development program for an organization that although over 140 years old, was brand new to the fundraising world. Ensuring organizations achieve their mission is Amie's passion.

 

Greg Christoffel is a retired corporate lawyer and business executive. He has served as general counsel for US and international businesses, from startups to mature publicly-traded companies. His business experience includes management of a venture capital fund and a telecommunications joint venture in China.
