Funding Downtown Revitalization and Preservation Projects

Friday, April 1 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm • Organized By Missouri Main Street Connection
107 East 6th Street, Joplin, MO 64801

About

Preservation helps us protect irreplaceable buildings, monuments, places, and landscapes in our downtown districts. Main Street values what preservation represents in our communities, but preservation often has costs that discourage many from undertaking preservation projects. Missouri Main Street Connection’s spring 2022 quarterly workshop will examine why preservation is valued in our communities and some of the ways we can financially achieve our preservation goals. We welcome local Main Street board members, design committees, property owners, developers and preservationists to join us for “Funding Downtown Revitalization and Preservation Projects,” where we will learn about how you can develop a funding plan for those preservation projects. There will be multiple speakers sharing information on capital campaigns, estate planning and a grant program from the 1772 Foundation. • Donna Harris, Heritage Consulting, Inc. • Bridgette Kelch, Executive Director, East Central College Foundation • Lori Haun, Executive Director, Downtown Joplin Alliance
