Speaker's Bio:
Rory has over 20 years of combined sales and management experience. He has quickly risen to the top of multiple sales industries over the years. These include direct sales, retail, advertising/marketing, and B2B. Rory has spent the better part of the past 15 years hiring, managing, and developing sales people in both retail and B2B sales.
Rory spent 3 years as a national sales trainer and coach as well as 2 years as a National Field Manager for the largest family owned school photography company in North America. In his 3 years as a sales trainer and coach he helped to train over 70 new territory managers and salespeople. In this time he also helped to create the sales coaching process for the company. Rory didn’t just spend his time doing sales training in a classroom environment, he believes in coaching from the field. He spent countless hours doing ride-alongs to coach salespeople in real life situations. He also spent time creating new revenue generating programs for the company.
Prior to joining the school picture industry, Rory managed the advertising department for a small newspaper. In an industry that was seeing massive losses year after year, Rory was able to stabilize and increase revenue by creating marketing plans for clients that brought them new customers. He was also able to create material to increase viewership to the newspaper and was a leader in bringing advertisers into the online newspaper platform.
Rory brings an additional 5 years of retail sales and retail sales management experience, taking two different cell phone stores from under-performing to the top tier of the market.
