Workshop: How to Increase Use of Recycled Plastics

Thursday, February 11 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm • Organized By Missouri Enterprise
Online Event

About

We are inviting you to join us in the first in a series of workshops to discuss what recycling market development means and how we can create opportunities for recycled commodities in Missouri.

For this first workshop, we are focusing on recycled plastics and are bringing together a panel of Missouri industries to share their experiences, successes and challenges using recycled plastics in their various products:

• Matt Moore, Evertrak - A manufacturer of composite ties for North American heavy haul and transit railroads

• Omar Galal, Enginuity Inc. - A plastic injection molding company that manufactures a variety of products including a patented rainwater harvesting system

• Roger Wilson, Wilson Industries - A manufacturer of standard and custom polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe and fittings

Program

11:00 a.m.-11:40 a.m. Introductions and panel discussion with Q&A
11:40 a.m.-12:10 p.m. Attendee breakout sessions
12:10 p.m.-12:30 p.m. Wrap up and next steps

FYI: We plan to host a second workshop later in the year to further explore solutions and identify resources available to manufacturers who want to use recycled plastics in their products.

Whether you’re currently using recycled plastics in your products or are interested in learning more about it, we encourage you to join us.
