Do you want to grow your small business by securing local, state, education and/or federal government contracts?

At the end of this one-hour training, you will be able to:

  • Recognize what it takes to win government contracts
  • Indicate if your business is in a position to fulfill the requirements of a contract
  • Identify certifications you may be eligible to receive
  • Locate online registrations you will need to get started

You will also hear about bid matching and business counseling services available through the Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC) program.

Willis Mushrush

Willis Mushrush, Business Development Specialist, University of Missouri Extension, began his career in retailing while still in high school in the late 1960’s. After ending his retailing career, he became a Human Resource Manager for a large manufacturing government contractor for 10 years prior to becoming employed by the University of Missouri. Willis has assisted many small businesses throughout Missouri for over 20 years while working with the Missouri Small Business & Technology Development Center and the Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Center. Willis received his Bachelor of Science in Management from Southwest Missouri State University, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas.
