Veterans, their spouses and others in business who want to learn more about starting or growing a business are invited to attend the Veterans in Business seminar offered by the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at Missouri University of Science and Technology and the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) St. Louis District Office.
“Owning, operating and being successful as a business owner is no easy task,” says Travin Shelton, business development specialist with the SBTDC. “November 5-9 is National Veterans Small Business Week, and this is a great opportunity for people to learn more about business best practices and business resources available.”
Attendees will hear personal stories from veteran business owners and learn about local resources, including the Small Business Administration, Veteran Business Resource Center and the Small Business & Technology Development Center at Missouri S&T. Much of the information is relevant to all small businesses but also covers items of interest specific to veteran-owned small businesses. Although the event is focused on veterans, anyone may attend.
