READY TO TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO THE NEXT LEVEL IN 2017?
The St. Louis District Office is currently accepting applications for the 2017 Emerging Leaders class. Join us for a free information session on SBA's Emerging Leaders Initiative. We will provide an overview of the curriculum and what is expected of the participants. You will hear from program graduates and be able to meet the instructor and our cosponsors.
Emerging Leaders is an intensive executive-level training initiative to accelerate the growth of high-potential small businesses located in America’s cities. Developed by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and drawing on the experiences of advisors and business leaders in the community, this comprehensive curriculum provides the tools to catapult your company to the next level and help it emerge as a force in your community. This training is not for businesses in the start-up phase.
The Emerging Leaders advanced training series is open to small business owners and executives located in the St. Louis area that:
- Have annual revenues between $400,000 and $10 million
- Have been in business for at least three years
- Have at least one employee other than themselves
- Will be able to make a significant time commitment; approximately 100 hours of combined classroom, homework and peer-to-peer mentoring.
Classes will begin in April at Webster University and run every other Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. through October. Class size is limited; one owner per business. Participation is free. The only cost is your time and commitment to complete the curriculum over the course of seven months. All other costs are covered by SBA and our local partners.
