SBA’s St. Louis District Office is hosting a free seminar entitled “How to Win Government Contracts through the 8(a) Program” on Thursday, November 19. The seminar will cover the following:
1. What is the 8(a) Program?
2. Benefits of the 8(a) Program
3. Applying for the 8(a) Program
The 8(a) program is for socially and economically disadvantaged small business owners. If you have questions about whether or not you qualify for the program, please call Gary Alexander at 314-539-6612.
Dennis Melton, SBA’s St. Louis District Director notes, “The 8(a) Program can provide a tremendous boost to a company’s government sales. The SBA staff works closely with 8(a) companies to help them navigate the contracting process and some contracts can only be bid on by those in the 8(a) Program.”
