And where can you find the what, where, when?

It’s chock full of hundreds of business workshops, classes and networking events that can help you build your social network, evaluate your idea or scale your business. And you can filter those events by subject, entrepreneur type and location.

At the top of the month, we’ll also give a quick short cut to just a few featured events from around the state. So grab your planner, calendar or smart phone and let’s get your network working for you.

Let’s the statewide round robin begin…

June 3-27, 2019: Small Business Administration, “How to Start a Business” Classes, all across Missouri

Did you know that home-based businesses are required to hold permits to operate legally in most states? What about incorporation? Many new businesses assume they need to incorporate or become an LLC from the get-go – but the truth is, more than 70 percent of small businesses are owned by unincorporated sole proprietors (although even this group is required to register their businesses).

So, variables aside, there are still some fundamental steps that any business needs to follow to get started. This month the SBA is focusing on telling you exactly how to start a business and how to grow it if you are already moving along in your entrepreneurial journey.

So check in with the MOSourceLink calendar to see what’s going in your neck (or heel) of Missouri and follow @SBAgov on social media to track all the free goodies the SBA releases.
