Ready for Global Entrepreneurship Week?
Countries across six continents are coming together to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative to inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity. To think big. To turn their ideas into reality. To make their mark.
From November 14-20, 2016, Global Entrepreneurship Week will connect young people here in Missouri and around the globe through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, nonprofit leaders, government officials and many others will participate in a range of activities, from online to face-to-face, and from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings.
Through this initiative, the next generation of entrepreneurs will be inspired and can emerge.
In doing so, they will begin to acquire the knowledge, skills and networks needed to grow innovative, sustainable enterprises that have a positive impact on their lives, their families and communities.
Global Entrepreneurship Week will seek to:
Introduce the notion of enterprising behavior to people who otherwise might not have considered it as a path in their life
Network with people across national boundaries in a global effort to find new ideas at the intersection of cultures and disciplines
Enlist active and inspirational entrepreneurs to coach and mentor the next generation of enterprise talent as they pursue their entrepreneurial dreams
To inform opinion leaders and policy makers that entrepreneurship is central to our local and national economic health and culture and to provide different nations with the opportunity to learn from each other on entrepreneurial policy and practice.
