New business centers to open in Southeast Missouri
These are very exciting times for the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Southeast Missouri State University, a MOSourceLink partner. Early in November, the Center will expand small business services to the SEMO campuses in Kennett, Sikeston and Malden.
Staff at each of the centers will provide one-on-one counseling and technical assistance for current small business owners, including those impacted by recent flooding. Small business owners interested in sustaining or growing their businesses will access to a host of services, including financial analysis and access to capital.
The Business Service Centers will also provide opportunities for clients to meet with loan officers as part of ACCION Delta, which provides microlending services in the 252 counties and parishes of the Delta Regional Authority that encompasses eight states.
Business owners will also be able to access Operation Jump-Start entrepreneurship training through these new locations. Operation Jump-Start is a nationally recognized practical, hands-on, microenterprise development program designed to help entrepreneurs test the feasibility of their business ideas and plan to launch new ventures.
