The Jordan Valley Innovation Center (JVIC) is a Missouri State University research center which provides "hands-on" learning and experience for students, as well as support and business opportunities for affiliates.

JVIC is comprised of three operating centers

The Center for Applied Science and Engineering (CASE) at Missouri State University is committed to the development and support of advanced materials research industries in Missouri. Target areas of interest include: Carbon based electronics & devices, Materials research and characterization, various MEMS sensors and systems fabrication. To help fulfill this mission CASE provides: engineering and technical support, "high risk" research and development, a host of materials testing services, and unique educational opportunities for current and perspective employees. Recognizing the increased importance of Homeland Security, CASE works closely with government and industrial partners to identify opportunities for enhancing technologies and processes that can impact public safety and security.


The Center for BioMedical and Life Sciences (CBLS) at Missouri State University is committed to the development and support of advanced biotechnology industries in Missouri. Target areas of interest include: medical instruments and materials, bio-processing techniques and equipment, agribusiness research and development, and, chem/bio sensors and systems. To help fulfill this mission CBLS provides: engineering and technical support, "high risk" research and development, a host materials testing services, and, unique educational opportunities for current and perspective employees. Recognizing the increased importance of Homeland Security, CBLS works closely with government and industrial partners to identify opportunities for enhancing technologies and processes that can impact public safety and security.

A company or entrepreneur can spend a great deal of valuable time trying to find the services they need, and they need access to more than one organization to meet their needs.  Springfield Innovation, Inc. will assist these clients with a network of service providers to maximize the expertise of the service providers and expedite the time invested by the entrepreneur.  This service will eliminate the need to develop duplicate services, create and reinforce effective partnerships, and pull together the resources needed to make the business a success.

In addition to delivering business services, Springfield Innovation, Inc. will link involvement with non-profits, educational institutions, economic development organizations, local chambers of commerce, and governmental agencies to raise the community awareness on ways to assist entrepreneurs, and educate organizations on the network of services to increase client referrals.
