We keep hearing reports that banks are once again lending and businesses are hiring. The reports sound positive, but we were curious to know what actual small business owners in Missouri thought.
Of those business owners we asked, only 15% had approached a bank for financing during the previous 12 months. Only a third of those received funding.
Many business owners didn't approach a bank at all because the assumed they would not qualify for a loan.
